Process Design
Optimal Group’s process design services cover a spectrum of industries and applications. Our core capabilities include:
- Oil & Gas Processing: Design of natural gas dehydration (e.g. molecular sieves) to meet pipeline dewpoint specs, dewpoint control via low-temperature separation and Joule-Thomson expansion, NGL/LNG units, membrane purification for CO2/H2S removal, and amine sweetening for sour gas. Our delivered packages include LPG storage tanks as well as custom fuel gas vaporisation and conditioning skids for power generation at remote sites.
- Carbon Capture & CO2 Sequestration: Design and integration of flue-gas CO2 capture and CO2 geosequestration solutions. Our experience spans industrial flue gas streams through to detailed engineering of relocatable and modular capture units.
- Syngas & Hydrogen: We design and integrate syngas treatment skids to remove moisture, tars and particulates, then cool, compress and clean gas for downstream use. We also provide hydrogen recovery and purification using membrane separation and pressure-swing adsorption to upgrade syngas or reformate into high-purity hydrogen for various applications.
Our process design is solutions-focused: we address each client’s operational needs rather than pushing a single technology. Our engineers work closely with clients to define the problem in terms of performance, safety, and cost constraints, then tailor the process with an eye towards practicality, operability, and maintainability.
